Regretfully, due to the large volume of requests we receive, we are unable to support each one. All requests are reviewed and responded to within eight weeks via a formal response letter or telephone call.
Takeda Canada welcomes proposals for corporate and/or business philanthropic support that meet the following criteria:
- Grassroots Community Support – organizations that serve and benefit the Oakville-area communities in which the company’s headquarters are located
- Health Charities Support - organizations making a difference in the lives of patients, particularly those areas of healthcare in which Takeda participates
- Academic/Research Support – groups or institutions that promote excellence in health education
- Displays leadership, innovation and/or willingness to work in partnership
- Has clearly defined and measurable goals and objectives
Please note, we are not able to support requests from the following organizations or groups:
- Business and for-profit organizations
- Individuals or families
- Members-only societies or clubs
- Political organizations or candidates
- Private foundations
- Private schools or universities
- Religious or faith-based organizations (except where they offer non-denominational community and social support services)
- Service clubs and fraternal organizations
- Sports teams
- Third-party and/or professional fundraisers
In addition, Takeda does not support requests for the following programs or events:
- Capital campaigns (including those for buildings and/or equipment)
- Debt-reduction campaigns
- Endowments
- Goodwill advertising (ie. yearbooks, event programs, etc.)
- Operating or administrative costs
- Non-domestic relief efforts (refer to HCIP for information on international product donations) http://www.hpicanada.ca
- Travel, accommodation, meal expenses, field trips and tours
- Ticket purchases for fundraising activities
- Silent auction giveaways, door prizes or event giveaways
- Talent shows or beauty pageants
