Takeda is a global, values-based, R&D-driven top 10 biopharmaceutical leader with a large U.S. presence.
We connect to our nearly 240-year-old history and Japanese heritage through everything we do. Our unwavering commitment to putting patients first guides our scientific discovery and helps us as we strive to address unmet medical needs. Takeda’s U.S. operations are integral to our global business and to bringing better health to people, brighter future to the world.
Massachusetts serves as the U.S. hub for several global business operations, including the U.S. Commercial Business Unit, Global R&D, Global Oncology, Global Vaccines and Biologics Manufacturing.
Outside of Massachusetts we have major operations in five states, including research and manufacturing facilities, plasma donation centers across the country that support the lifesaving work we do across rare and plasma-derived therapeutic areas, and our extensive field network.
Our belief in putting people first extends beyond our patients. It includes their families, their communities, and our own Takeda colleagues and their families. It is our passion for people that transforms our work into meaningful action.
We are proud to be certified as a Top Global Employer 2021 by the Top Employers Institute — a certificate that recognizes companies with exceptional employee offerings. This recognition is based upon independent research and assessment of our workplace environment.
Takeda has earned multiple workplace awards attributed to our exceptional focus on flexibility, benefits, inclusion and wellness.
Takeda strives to have a workplace that is as diverse as the patients we serve; inclusive in our behaviors; and equitable in our actions. We are on a mission to embed and harness the power of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) to develop our people, unlock their unique potential, and be purposeful about ways to drive innovation and better serve our communities and partners.
The Takeda leadership team’s diversity, together with their functional expertise and unparalleled experience, collectively represent our global community.
We are developing a comprehensive multi-year DE&I strategy and have created an internal DE&I Council to govern and execute on our approach to ensure we have the right leadership commitment.
Employee engagement through our Takeda Resource Groups (TRGs) is vital to our aspiration of becoming a company of choice for people of all backgrounds. Our TRGs bring together employees with shared backgrounds and life experiences, as well as supportive allies, to advance business goals and foster an inclusive work environment.
“Takeda believes that the company’s long-term success depends on fostering an equitable, inclusive environment where all employees are welcomed, empowered and inspired to be themselves, and use their unique voices and talents.”
